THE PROBLEM

Raising Capital. The company felt they were ready to engage Series A funding, and bring in venture capitalists. However, they weren’t sure when and where to begin.

OUR SOLUTION

Devising an end-to- end strategy to raise capital. Our consultant, well versed in new market ventures and startups, created a pitch deck, a business plan, and tactical plan to find and approach investors.

THE APPROACH WAS AS FOLLOWS:

1. First, our consultant thoroughly vetted the client company to ensure that they are ready to approach an investor– as our veteran consultant had seen many cases where investors were approached too early.
2. Created a 30 minute, 13 slide Pitch Deck and an enhanced the existing Business Plan that reflected the company’s current standing, revenue source, size, and following
3. Created a tactical plan that pinpointed exactly where tech startup investors would be (Y Combinator, local business chapters, leveraging his LinkedIN network etc), along with how to approach those investors

THE CLIENT

One of the largest producers and innovators of professional music equipment such as digital keyboards and amplifiers. This company has had a successful decade-long run, serving its core audience of keyboard players.

THE PROBLEM

Expanding beyond their core offering of music equipment into the music software and mobile-enabled hardware space. The Company is launching a new software that will target the engineering and recording market, which is a new target market for this company.

Our pricing expert simplified existing pricing structure, proposed new packaging bundles and formulated a scalable process to support ongoing expansion.

The approach was as follows:

1. Distill what customers really value: This involved interviewing existing customers, lost customers and prospects
2. Understanding Competitor landscape: This involved a lot of online and offline research

The client needed a seasoned supply-chain M&A professional for pre-bid due diligence, and to identify synergies/dis-synergies.

OUR SOLUTION

Client hired an ex-Deloitte consultant who signed an NDA, connected with the client team, reviewed documents provided by the seller bank, and the client department heads, utilized industry head count and other benchmarks, and evaluated existing logistics, warehousing and supply chain global spend (for client and the seller organization) to perform a pre-bid due diligence and to build out synergies/dissynergies.

THE RESULT

Client successfully placed the bid for the seller organization, and moved to the next round of biddingcapital professional to help prepare a fundraising presentation.

THE CLIENT

A dermatologist who has just received a provisional patent for her line of six skin care products, ranging from anti-itch to anti-aging topical solutions. This dermatologist is to be commended as she actually turned her idea into a tangible product protected with a patent.
